TWIXTlab – Enjoy the Silence

Δεκαπενταύγουστος, ίσως η μόνη μέρα του χρόνου που η σιωπή επικρατεί στην πρωτεύουσα. Οι κάτοικοι και οι τουρίστες την εγκαταλείπουν, ενώ και οι καλλιτέχνες ακολουθούν το ρεύμα, διοργανώνοντας φεστιβάλ παντού στην Ελλάδα.
Το TWIXTlab παραμένει στην έρημη Αθήνα και αντιπροτείνει ένα αυτοσχέδιο, μονοήμερο, συμμετοχικό καλλιτεχνικό φεστιβάλ στο χώρο του, Εμπεδοκλέους 19 Παγκράτι, την Κυριακή 15 Αυγούστου, 10:00 πμ-10:00 μμ.
Σας προσκαλούμε όλ@ να συμμετέχετε, καλλιτέχνες επαγγελματίες και μη, φίλ@ μας ή άγνωστ@. Ελάτε να εκθέσετε ζωγραφική ή αντικείμενα που φτιάξατε ή βρήκατε, φωτογραφίες, performances, ήχους, μουσική, κείμενα ή ό,τι άλλο επιθυμείτε, μαζί με την ιστορία της δημιουργίας τους, που θα μας διηγηθείτε γραπτά ή ζωντανά, σε μια έκθεση που θα στήνεται σταδιακά κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας και θα επισκεπτόμαστε με φακό όταν πέσει το φως!
Αν δεν έχετε κάτι να προτείνετε, ελάτε απλά να γνωριστούμε. Ας βρεθούμε στη σιωπή της πόλης για να συζητήσουμε μεταξύ μας, απολαμβάνοντας μια τέχνη απρόσμενη και ανεπιτήδευτη που μας έχει λείψει.

An invitation to participation in an art even in Athens, August 15th.
August 15th, probably the only day of the year that silence prevails in the capital. Locals and tourists flee and the artists follow the current, organizing festivals across Greece.
ΤWIXTlab remains in deserted Athens and counter-proposes a makeshift, one-day participatory art festival, in its project space, Empedkleous 15, Pangrati, Sunday August 15th, 10:00am to 10:00pm.
We invite all of you to participate, whether you are professional artists or not, our friends or perfect strangers. Come and exhibit your paintings, your made- or found- objects, photographs, performances, sounds, music, texts or whatever else you wish to, together with the story of their making, that you will narrate to us in writing or in vivo, in an exhibition that will gradually build up throughout the day and we will visit with flashlights at night.
If you do not have anything to propose, drop in just for the meeting. Let’s meet up in the city’s silence to discuss and enjoy an unexpected, unpretentious art that we’ve missed so much!
