(P. Bourdieu).

Pre[positions] of Writing

Co-ordination: Eugenia Vacalopoulou

It should be possible for anyone to perform a lesson […] without questioning his or her own right to do so. The Institution is present (in our case TWIXTlab) to negate that question, along with the arbitrariness-related agony, engendered in every new start.”

The discretionary use of Pierre Bourdieu’s writings provides a first impression for the workshop titled “Pre[positions] of Writing”, which is based on thoughts that aim to the creation of visual (or non-visual) artworks, concerning all the possible (and impossible) ways of writing.

Stories that will derive from the inner urge of the participants to be shared with the other participants, and inclusively with the broader art-loving audience.

Without the scientific authority, […] without defining boundaries and limits, namely the sacred.” (P. Bourdieu)

1st “writers’” Meeting 3/2/2019 (16.00-19.00), introductory, deposition of views and inspirations from the participants, without guidance but maybe with a lot of urge.

2nd “writers’” Meeting 17/2/2019 (16.00-19.00), final, presentation of the results that will derive after the intensive creative effort, under complete absence of criticism.
